Senior BTP Developer

Core Responsibilities:

• Modern SAP Engineering: Design and implement end-to-end applications utilizing the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) for backend services and SAP Fiori (Elements & Free-Style) for the frontend;
• Clean Core Advocacy: Develop and maintain solutions across SAP BTP, S/4HANA Private Cloud, and S/4HANA Public Cloud, ensuring strict alignment with SAP’s Clean Core principles;
• End-to-End Ownership: Take full accountability for technical designs, translate complex functional requirements into scalable code, and own your deployments;
• Output Management: Handle complex requirements involving Adobe Forms and output management as part of broader solution deliveries;
• Agile Product Delivery: Actively participate in agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and DevOps pipeline execution. Collaborate flawlessly with global, cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

• Note on Modern SAP Tech: We are strictly looking for professionals who have mastered modern S/4HANA and BTP paradigms. Legacy-only experience will not be considered for this role;
• Advanced Modern ABAP: Heavy expertise in Core Data Services (CDS Views), ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), and Object-Oriented ABAP (ABAP OO);
• Modern APIs & Integration: Deep knowledge of OData Services (V2 / V4) and Web Services (REST / SOAP);
• Output Interfaces: Proficiency in Adobe Forms;
• Code Governance: Strong discipline with the ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and performance optimization;
• Global Fluency: Advanced spoken and written English for seamless collaboration in global project environments;
• The “Ownership” Factor: Proven track record of working independently, pivoting under pressure, and delivering under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts and tools;
• Experience with SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Build Work Zone, and SAP Integration Suite;
• Exposure to Git-based development workflows and version control (abapGit);
• Understanding of Key User Extensibility within SAP S/4HANA.
